The “BowLite” (used as a rifle light) earned its keep this evening. The wind was gusting hard and the umbrella I placed over my tree stand started flapping. The noise made the hog nervous and he started looking my direction.
I decided I’d better go ahead and take the shot. I would have preferred a broadside shot….but with the SOCOM it really doesn’t matter.
Rather than turn the BowLite on and slowly lower it onto him….I just clicked it on, found him in the scope and tapped the trigger.
At 40 yds. he was lit up like a Christmas Tree, no need for the illuminated reticle on my scope.
